Ford Driving Skills Event
You can NOW register for the Ford Driving Skills event at our school for Saturday May 23rd! It is a free program and registration is limited! So please sign up and remember to bring your waiver and driver's license or permit with you to the event. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Gregorski.
PIKE-WAYNE CONSERVATION AND LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
Summer Programs and Camps for Youth at Lacawac Sancturay Summer Residential Program for 13-15 year olds. Pike/Wayne Conservation and Leadership Academy seeks to fully engage students in hands-on environmental and conservation field experience to mature students'leadership abilities, and to open doors to a future in environmental science and related fields. July 12-18, 2015 Lacawac Sanctuary & Field Station - Lake Ariel, PA - looking for highly motivated13-15 year old students with an interest in wildlife conservation, environmental science, ecology and the outdoors, and residing in Pike and Wayne counties. Application deadline is May 15, 2015. Qualified students will be accepted on a rolling basis until all spaces are filled. Tuition is $250.00. Applicants will be selected on several criteria: References, academic achievements and activities, non-academic achievements and activities, and a personal essay. Ford Driving Skills Event
Ford Driving skills for Life is a FREE program developed in 2003 in conjunction with the Governors Highway Safety Association and a panel of safety experts to address the leading cause of death among teenagers in the United States--vehicle crashes. You can now register for the Ford Driving Skills event at our school on Saturday May 23rd! It will be held at the Wallenpaupack Area High School student parking lot. Teens will drive specially-equipped vehicles on road courses under the supervision of professional instructors, improving their skills in these key areas: Vehicle Handling,Space Management, and how to avoid the Dangers of Distracted and Impaired Driving. Registration is Limited and signed consent forms are required. Please register at www.drivingskillsforlife.com. Please bring the signed waiver form and your teen's driver's license or permit with you to the event. There are 4 Sessions: Session 1 8:00am-10:00am, Session 2 10:00am-12pm, Session 3 12:30pm-2:30pm, Session 4 2:30pm-4:30pm
Volunteers In Paupack
Come join Volunteers in Paupack for the BK Lance Armstrong 5K at Woodloch on Sunday May 31. Registration forms are outside Room 265 or see Mrs. Mitschele in the cafeteria during lunch. Forms and registration fee must be returned to Mrs. Mitschele no later than Friday May 29 at 3pm.
Class / Student Council Office Elections
All students interested in running for Class or Student Council Office; Nomination packets are available from Wednesday 5/6 - Wednesday 5/13. Please see Mrs. Rosencrance to sign-up and get materials. Completed packets are due by 3:00 on Friday 5/15/15. Elections will be held during Spring Spirit Week May 18th - 22nd.

There are a number of tumblers left over from the Prom in Mrs. Nebz's room 306. They are $4 each and will be on sale until we run out. They are for sale to anyone regardless of whether you attended the prom or not. They will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
Volunteers In Paupack
There will be NO regular meeting of Volunteers In Paupack this week. Please get your Woodloch 5K run/ walk registration forms in to Mrs. Mitschele as soon as possible.
After School Computer Lab
After School Computer Lab will be on Thursday, May 14th in room 251. Please sign up outside room 251 before 4th block on Thursday if you plan to stay. (Heckman)
UNDECIDED SENIORS
Attention Undecided Graduating Seniors: Even though it is late in the year - it is not too late for you to apply! Johnson College is hosting a "Undecided Senior Event" or a Mini Open House on Wednesday May 27th, 2015 from 8:30am-2:00pm. This event will allow students to spend time in a variety of programs with our skilled faculty doing hands-on work in our shops and labs. Lunch is provided as well for all attendees. And as an added bonus we will be waiving all application fees for these students! Registration is required by calling 570-702-8900.(Guidance)
Track & Field
Congratulations to Alyssa LaFave for finishing first place in the 800 meter run last night at the track and field district championships. Alyssa will be competing in the state championships in Shippensburg next weekend. Way to go Alyssa! Congratulations to all members of the track and field team that won a medal in the district event. All your effort and hard work paid off.(McHugh)

PARKING RESTRICTION - MAY 22, 2015
Due to set-up for the Ford Safe Driving School, all vehicles must be removed from the Student Parking Lot by 3:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 2015. Students, faculty, staff and visitors are permitted to park in the Faculty Lot after 3:00 pm. ANY VEHICLE LEFT IN THE STUDENT LOT AFTER 3:00 PM WILL BE TOWED.(Starnes)
